The Vision

For this newly built home surrounded by woodland and water, the homeowners wanted an outdoor space that embraced the beauty of the natural environment — not overpowered it. The goal was to create something peaceful, functional, and timeless, with materials and plantings that would feel like a natural extension of the land. Every detail needed to be low-maintenance, environmentally mindful, and ready to grow with the home over time.

Our Approach

We designed a layered, nature-driven landscape that balances organic materials with thoughtful features - blending wild charm with intentional form.

Key elements include:

Natural stone patios, entryway & yoga area - Hand-selected stone created a warm and grounded welcome, while custom patio zones provide space to relax, dine, and practice yoga outdoors.
Native planting throughout - A curated mix of trees, shrubs, and perennials provides year-round interest, pollinator support, and natural beauty without high maintenance.
Custom fire pit - A cozy fire feature made from natural stone was tucked into the landscape for peaceful evenings under the stars.
Outdoor shower with permeable pavers - Built with sustainability in mind, this feature includes proper drainage and blends function with lakeside style.
Edible gardens & small orchard - Raised herb and vegetable beds were placed near the kitchen for daily use, complemented by a mini fruit tree orchard to add long-term value and beauty.
Lighting & irrigation - Subtle, low-energy lighting creates ambiance and security, while an automated irrigation system ensures healthy growth across the property.

The Result

The completed landscape feels entirely at home in its setting - peaceful, practical, and full of life. The combination of natural materials, smart design, and thoughtful planting created a space that will not only thrive for years to come, but evolve beautifully with the property. It’s a space for both quiet moments and meaningful gatherings - a true retreat from the everyday.
